(Slamdance 2024) Interview with Ravit Markus – Nina Is An Athlete

Documentary filmmaker Ravit Markus briefly sits down for coffee with FilmSnobbery’s Nic LaRue during her busy visit to Park City to talk about her new film NINA IS AN ATHLETE which is premiering at the Slamdance Film Festival.

They talk about Nina’s journey through the film as both a mother and a Paralympian athlete, and how it was difficult to shoot during the outset of COVID. Ravit speaks about what kind of stories move her to film them and how women’s stories are at the heart of her work. They also briefly touch upon the noticeable lack of Israeli films and filmmakers present in Park City this year.
