Indie filmmaker Destri Martino recently launched the comedy web series MIXED BLOOMS on YouTube and BlipTV. It has appeared on numerous websites and most recently received a mention in The Huffington Post for its portrayal of diverse characters. At the beginning of 2011, Destri’s short animated film, THE DIRECTOR, won the American Cinematheque’s trailer contest and then quickly became a short that traveled the fest circuit– screening at fifteen fests and counting.
During the day, Destri produces marketing, recruiting and training videos in-house for a Los Angeles law firm.

As a rising director Destri Martino had the rare opportunity to observe Hollywood’s top filmmakers while honing her own skills behind the camera. From Phil Joanou and Mika Kaurismaki to Mike Nichols and Michael Bay, Destri saw an array of directing styles and aesthetics while working on commercial, music video and film production teams in a variety of roles, from p.a. to production manager. She started her career in entertainment many moons ago as an assistant at the prolific television and film production company John Wells Productions.
