About FilmSnobbery

FilmSnobbery.com was started January 1st 2009 as a general film blog by founder Nic Baisley.  After a short period of time Nic decided to show his passion for independent film and filmmakers by making FilmSnobbery an exclusively indie website.  Over the next six years Nic, several talented writers, and a few hard-working crew members created thousands of hours of content to inform, educate, and entertain fans of independent filmmaking.  FilmSnobbery was a prominent presence at film festivals all over the world, has a great and dedicated audience representation online, and has become one of the top independent film websites in the world.

FilmSnobbery Live! was a live-broadcast web interview show that ran for over 110 episodes over the course of 2 years.  During that time Nic Baisley and co-host Jerry Cavallaro interviewed independent filmmakers, producers, actors, and consultants.  Known for it’s off the cuff and entirely improvised interview style, FilmSnobbery Live! became a favorite to FilmSnobbery’s growing fanbase, and requests are still coming in for interviews almost a year after it has been off the air.

The new FilmSnobbery Podcast is a pre-taped audio show hosted by Nic Baisley and reunites him with former co-host Jerry Cavallaro.  Forgoing interviews and relying on a more stripped-down format, they intend to deliver an uncensored podcast that deals with the realities of the independent film industry. The new FilmSnobbery Podcast cuts through the crap and gives today and tomorrow’s filmmakers the straight dope on the good and the bad of the cinema machine.
