Phil Hall is a critic for Film Threat and is also the author of several books on film and the film industry. He agreed to sit down with us in our studio and talk about his latest book “The History of Independent Cinema” as well as several other topics relevant to today’s aspiring filmmaker including film festivals (and whether or not it’s even worth your time and money to enter them), digital cinema today (and how the YouTube generation has basically changed the game when it comes to making film), and how the old timers in the industry will be going away soon, and who we’re looking to fill their shoes! The interview so awesome we had to split it into 2 parts! Spare a quick hour and get yourself some cinema education!
